David brings a wide experience with data systems from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, focusing on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and data modernization efforts. He supports the team with technical strategy for data engagements and engineering projects. David views modern data infrastructure as an integral piece of plumbing in improving outcomes across the healthcare value chain.

Most recently, David led data efforts for Albany County’s COVID-19 response after joining the Health Department at the onset of the pandemic. He led the transition of existing infrastructure to modern systems that allowed for the scaling of day-to-day response, vaccine, and reporting operations.

Prior, David worked in the startup world with time at 10,000ft and Smartsheet, where he focused on data solutions and growth with large-scale customers.

In a previous life, David was a high school teacher where he taught project-based curriculum based in computer science and problem solving while coaching lacrosse.
